I have never attended Fashion Week. But since I am a subscriber to The New York Times, I read about it often. And it seems to me like it is ALWAYS Fashion Week. If I had to take a guess, I would say it happens 6-12 times a year. But I think I may be misunderstanding something.
I admire fashion but, like so many others, I can not begin to afford it. Yet I think this year’s Fashion Week previews offer some hope. Because a lot of what I am seeing looks familiar, and at much cheaper prices. So I thought I would do a round of “Who Wore it Better?”
I may have more of these as the week goes on, since from my observation, FASHION WEEK is as many days as it wants to be. Sometimes it’s 10 or 12 days long!
Also: I just want to warn you that I am about to post Part 4 of WHY I WAITED 22 YEARS TO GET MARRIED. Because in trying to understand my own terrors about marriage, I un-covered a wealth of cultural detritus that I want to share. Just warning you in case it is all getting to be too much for some of you... in which case, I guess I will offer drink tickets for those who are suffering damages. And we can all meet up outside the bar when I am done unloading.
